With so many amazing and recognised world-class experiences throughout the island to choose from, it is little wonder Tassie is on most people’s ‘must visit’ holiday list.

Engage with the wilderness and wildlife. Explore convict stories and the rich sandstone heritage at World Heritage Convict sites. Discover places that have remained unspoilt for thousands of years. See works of art that will challenge you. Find yourself amongst landscapes that are the most stunning in the world. Lose yourself in the delights of the small cities and towns. Play golf, fly-fish, walk along cloudy white beaches, relax in luxurious resort spas or relish the -fine food, wines, beers, whisky and ciders renowned the world over.

Tasmania offers culture, wilderness, adventure, gourmet and historic experiences. It has something for everyone.

Hobart is Tasmania’s small, scenic capital, famous for its Georgian buildings and crisp air. Browse bustling Salamanca Market and run your hands over the sandstone buildings in Salamanca Place. Climb craggy Mount Wellington for sweeping views over Hobart and the wide Derwent River. Do a ghost tour in Battery Point, walk across Australia’s oldest bridge in Richmond and visit the cute coastal hamlet of Kettering. Wind past forest and farmland to the cool-climate wineries of the Coal Valley.  See bright spinnakers on the water and dine on fresh seafood from one of Hobart’s waterside restaurants.
